A two-day Samvidhan Shala program was organized on 16 and 17 March 2023 for participation in the state level workshop with students under the aegis of the Nagrik Adhikar manch at the local Youth Hostel Ranital Jabalpur. In this state level constitution, 30 youth from Ashoknagar, Gadhakota, Seoni, Sagar, Harda, Timrini, Bhopal, Gwalior, Mandla, Rewa, Jabalpur participated in this program. NFI in this constitution school. The students who came to the two-day workshop conducted by Mr. Satyam Pandey to know the major problems of India, went through the problems one by one with all the students. In which students stated expensive education and lack of employment opportunities as the main problems of the youth. The students also told that due to the increasing population in the country, there is inflation and unemployment in the country, the consequences of which the youth have to bear. Along with this, all the friends introduced themselves and what the young friends understood about this Constitution School was discussed. In which Shivkumar ji, a partner of Tinka organization and Nagrik Adhikar Manch , discussed and shared his views on the journey of organization building and youth organization so far.
Some questions were given to the youth present in this program of Constitution School.
Discussion on the problems, causes and solutions faced by the youth in the present time – youth shared their views through presentation. The evils prevailing in the society and the mentality of the people – discrimination through politics, patriarchal conservative ideology, unemployment, lack of inclusion of constitutional values in life.
Reason- Playing with people’s religious sentiments and provoking their sentiments, promoting orthodoxy and superstition. Caste discrimination and atrocities. Taking help of religion by political parties. Not getting equal rights as men. There is inequality of education, lack of skills and knowledge.
Solution- Keeping politics away from religion, making women aware of their rights, organizing camps or programs to make people aware about caste discrimination in the society.
Crises facing the Constitution and their causes – threat to the values of socialism, secularism, violation of dignity of people, violation of rights to equality. Redressal of these problems – privatization of the country’s products, promotion of any one religion by the government, atrocities on the basis of caste, lack of options in democracy.
Mr. Rajendra Gupta ji – While sharing your views among the youth present in the Constitution School, you said that religion is used for politics, which is linked to caste, religion, capital. Is considered weak. It is most difficult to be a human being in the present times. To give emphasis to the students so that they can consider and question the education policy of the government. Discussing further in the Constitution School program, why should a student organization be formed? Of this thing. Young students are energetic. Students read, talk and gather at one place to share their ideas for the development of the country. Religious sentiments develop in students.
Shri Satyendra Pandey ji (NFI) said that inflation and unemployment are there all over the world but India is the only country which considers the increasing population as the reason for them. Whereas its main reason is the economic policies implemented in the country. Unless the economic policies are better, problems like inflation and unemployment will not reduce, because the previous and present governments of India have been implementing only pro-capitalist economic policies. Due to which capitalist system has been established in the country whereas according to the Constitution India is a socialist country.
Ideas were shared by the youth present – in which the youth expressed their views on unemployment, education policy, awareness, discrimination and bigotry on the basis of caste. The majority of the society in the country are Hindus. When we talk about government or governance, we talk about that power and the people sitting in that chair. When we criticize the government, we criticize religion at some point. Skill knowledge is also very important in the education policy of the current student. At present, unemployment is a major problem in the country, but the government only engages private industry, when capital becomes dominant then people have no importance. If there is capitalism, there will be inflation. If the company’s profits are not reduced through policies, unemployment will persist.
Discussion session on student organization by youth – How to connect youth? How to increase the intellectual capacity of youth? To connect the working youth in the organization, most of the youth share their views by talking on social media. Contact such young friends. By collecting nomination lists by Asha workers and Anganwadi workers. Sharing your understanding by talking to a social worker. Going to rural areas and observing the problems and discussing those issues. Connect with the grassroots level of students and talk about their problems.
Discuss what you will do by connecting with the youth – Visit schools and colleges at your level and sensitize them on constitutional values so that the youth can become aware of their problems. Discussion with the students of the group anywhere. Visiting government schools and offices and observing the problems. Discussion on education policy of government schools along with private education. To discuss the lack of education and awareness in the society. Discussion on Indian education policy to focus on skill development of youth along with education and sports. Working on mid-day meal and cleanliness of government schools. To gather students and develop their intellectual development. To change the mentality of students through your thoughts. To make aware about the low-level problems of youth and surrounding problems. To make the youth understand their points through street drama. To select trained youth by running nomination campaign, to develop science-based thinking among the youth by communicating their ideas through social media.
At the end of the program, Satyendra Pandey, a fellow from NFI, while sharing his views on the current education policy and its reasons among the youth, told the youth that in ancient times, when man learned farming, then man had to learn about the process of reproduction. It was from there that the male-dominated trend was born in the society. Capitalism got a boost only after the advent of industry. It was only after this that entrepreneurs and industrialists were born. After this, some modern ideas were born, after which social reformer Rajaram Mohan Roy and political system were born in the society. In the present times, we can get information about the problems of any country through news and media. Today’s youth should be aware of all those problems.
