General information of the beneficiary-
During the Ravidas Nagar Nagrik Adhikar Manch survey, we met Mrs. Munni Bai Choudhary. During the conversation, Munni Bai told that her name has been struck off from her ration card. And I go to work in bungalows, I am worried for a long time, even my pension has not been made. Whoever I talk to about getting a pension, they ask for money which I do not have. Then we asked her to come to the office of Nagrik Adhikar Manch with her documents. On 10/11/2022, Munni Bai Choudhary reached the Nagrik Adhikar Manch office and showed her documents.
Work to be done-
First of all, after inspecting all the documents, it was understood the need to do the following work.
1. Getting Munni Bai Chaudhary done in the house of Shrimati Munni Bai.
2. Getting the mobile number updated in the account of Mrs. Munni Bai.
3. Getting the date of birth of Shrimati Munni Bai corrected in her Aadhaar.
4. Getting a single account of Mrs. Munni Bai.
5. Making PAN card of Mrs. Munni Bai.
Proccess-10/11/22 Application for old age pension of Mrs. Munni Bai Chaudhary, resident of Ravidas Nagar Badshah Halwai Mandir Street No. 2, came. When we looked at her documents, we came to know that in her Samagra, the name is Munni Devi instead of Munni Bai Choudhary and her mobile number in her bank account is not updated and her date of birth in the Aadhaar card is wrong. Then the reaction to improve these documents started. On 28/12/22, application for overall correction and date of birth correction of Munni Bai Chaudhary was given in Municipal Corporation Zone No. 3 and on the very next day on 29/12/22, she went to Indian Bank to update the mobile number in Munni Bai’s account. Gave the application. Then on 11/1/23, she went to Indian Bank and got Munni Bai’s YC done. After this, on 16/1/23, when she went to the Municipal Corporation Zone No. 3 to submit the application for old age pension, she was told by the scheme in-charge there. It is said that you will have to bring the applicant with his/her mobile number because an OPT number will come in his/her mobile. Only then will the old age pension forms be submitted and they also informed that joint account will not work in applying for old age pension, hence you will have to make Munni Bai’s account single. After this, we again went with Munni Bai on 18/1/23 and applied for PAN card in the online centre. On 20/1/23, I again went to the online center and got information that Munni Bai’s PAN card has been updated. After this, on 25/1/23, Munni Bai and I both went to UCO Bank to open a single account for Munni Bai. After getting all the responses for opening, the bank worker told that the passbook of Munni Bai’s account will be available on Monday. On 30/1/23, I again went to UCO Bank to get the passbook of Munni Bai’s account. There the bank worker told that madam is on leave now, hence the passbook of Munni Bai’s account will be available next week.


On 18/4/23, we went to UCO Bank and got Munni Bai’s passbook entered and came to know that Munni Bai’s pension had come into her account on 17/4/23. We called Munni Bai and gave this information to the Civil Rights Forum office. As soon as she came to know that her pension had arrived, she was very happy and thanked all the members of the Civil Rights Forum very much. Now they will be able to get help with Rs 6000 per month.


Result-
Munni Bai Choudhary’s pension of Rs 600 per month came into effect on 17/4/2023. Our efforts were successful in helping them provide their economic and social security. And with this our another case study is completed.
